Fleet Feet High Point to host GO FAR Lace Up Fundraising Run on Thursday
A new school year after a COVID year means a new hope that GO FAR can return full throttle in helping children in the Triad and beyond learn about good character, goal-setting and healthy eating.
And running.
The 501(c)3 after-school program, founded in 2003 by physician assistant Robin Lindsay and based in High Point, is hosting a fundraising event Thursday night with Fleet Feet.

What they're saying
• "Especially after COVID, a lot of families have been impacted financially, and so they're struggling to be able to provide these sometimes-expensive shoes for these children to be able to run." – Jessica Applegate, GO FAR program director.
• "Our vision is that running changes everything. All of us know how much running has brought into our lives. So if we can bring those into kids' lives, we want to be able to do that. We don't want (not having) the correct shoes be the barrier for people to start running." – Mandy Wahl, Fleet Feet.
