High Point Athletic Club, GO FAR teaming up Saturday

Children and adults are invited to take part in a free group run-walk on Saturday, hosted by the High Point Athletic Club in support of the GO FAR program and its fall 5K.

The event will take place at the High Point Athletic Complex track starting at 7:30 a.m.

From the High Point Athletic Club's Facebook page: "The adults will be able to walk the track or go for a run, HPAC will lead a fun kids session. In classic HPAC style we'll share some smiles and treats after the run!"

The GO FAR 5K is scheduled for Nov. 13 in downtown High Point. While the after-school program caters to school students, the race is open to adults.

The deadline to guarantee a T-shirt and to take advantage of the $25 early-bird registration fee is Oct. 9. Click here to sign up.
