The Volunteer Center's Human Race 5K is April 2

Your chance to support your favorite charity will come in Greensboro's 28th annual Human Race on April 2.

The race, hosted by The Volunteer Center, will start and end at LeBauer Park in downtown Greensboro. Race time is 9 a.m.

From a Volunteer Center news release:

"Since 1994, The Volunteer Center of the Triad has presented this community fundraising event, helping raise over $5 million for local non-profits. Bank of America is once again the title sponsor for this event.

"Nearly 100 non-profits sign up annually for the opportunity to raise money that is critical to fulfilling their missions in the Triad. Anyone can donate to their favorite charity through The Human Race by forming a team or simply donating online. The event is coordinated by The Volunteer Center and features a 5K, a non-profit village, children’s area, pet area and more. The goal this year is to raise $150,000 for local non-profits.

"Non-profit organizations have seen a decrease in monetary donations during the pandemic. The Human Race is a great way for the community to come together and help support the important work that these organizations do in the Triad."
