A Boston Marathon roundtable with Darrel Wells (top left), Jeremy Bush (bottom left) and David and Val Duggan.

These runners won't soon forget receiving the notifications that they've made it, and of course they'll never forget running in the 125th Boston Marathon on Oct. 11.

High Point's Val and David Duggan, who married in 2018; Greensboro's Darrel Wells; and Winston-Salem's Jeremy Bush are among runners from the Triad who have been accepted into the field that has been limited, for social-distancing reasons, to 20,000.

Their entries and participation are unique, and these four runners accepted an invitation to join me via a Zoom conference to explain why. You won't want to miss their stories.

Then, at the 9:56 mark, they tell us what the pandemic has taken away from their running, but what it also has provided.
