Party time for Oden Brewing Run Club
Beer, tacos and more will be part of marking a milestone tonight.
Happy anniversary, Oden Brewing Run Club.
The group will mark its first year of running together tonight, and you're invited to the party.
This anniversary is significant given where we were one year ago at this time – deep into uncertainty caused by the pandemic and heading toward the twilight of summer and the fading rays of evening sunlight.
The club, part of the Random Runners Runclub, offers an impressive list of partners that are offering giveways tonight during the raffle that will follow a group run. Among them are Oden Brewing (but of course!) and Taco Bros Food Truck, plus Hemp Black, Trivium Racing, Junction 311 Endurance Sports, Edward Jones Investments, Stubbs Mobile Physical Therapy, EnFlight Multisport and Rebound Frozen Dessert. Discounts or free entries will be available for a handful of upcoming road races, including this week's Moonlight Madness 5K in Winston-Salem and Sunday's Growler Gallop 10K and 5K, plus the Cannonball Marathon races, Run 4 the Greenway, Westerwood 5K and the Greensboro Half Marathon and 5K.
The group will gather at 6 p.m. Walkers and runners of all paces are invited, and there's no cost to participate.
Oden Brewing Company is at 802 W. Gate City Blvd.
Besides tonight's run club, Oden visitors can take part in the popular Fermented Facts Trivia from 7 to 9 p.m.
